Summer Drinks... Infused Simple Syrup

 

You may want to double up this recipe. Yields two drinks per syrup

Orange soda:
2 cups of water
1/2 cup of monk fruit sweetner
zest of 2 oranges
juice of two oranges

Ginger ale:
2 cups of water
1/2 cup of monk fruit sweetner
2 big knobs of ginger about 4 tablespoons grated
2 star anis
3 cardamon pods
12-15 peppercorns

put ingredients for each syrup in a pot bring to the boil and then reduce heat and let simmer for 45minutes to an hour.

Strain and add 1-2 tablespoons of the syrup to a glass full of ice top off with sparkling water and enjoy!
